Humphrey Wilson, was the son of Dea. Thomas Willson, of Exeter, who was the grandson of Thomas Wilson, one of the Wheelright Compact in 1638. He was born Dec. 9, 1699, and was the father of Capt. Nathaniel Wilson, an early settler of Gilmanton, and grandfather Jeremiah Wilson, Esq., now residing in town. (Gilmanton) Humpfrey Wilson was the father of Capt. Nathaniel Wilson, also a settler of the town. Thomas Wilson was the son of Humphrey Wilson and grandson of Dea. Thomas Wilson of the Wheelright Compact in 1638. He was born May 20, 1672, m. Mary Light Oct. 16, 1698, and had a family of 11 children. He was one of the Selectmen five years, 1729 to 1733. He was great grandfather of Jerimiah Wilson, Esq.
