T-Shirts are also being sold to support the Gale School. The T's are yellow, and come in sizes Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large. The front of the shirt has a picture of the Gale School in a black silhouette pattern with the words "Save Our Gale School" the cost is $10.00 each. Screen printed by Brighter Image of Laconia, N.H. (You can purchase one at D&D Country Market and Deli on Rt. 106 in Belmont or by contacting any of the persons listed below.)
Raffle Tickets
Raffle Tickets are being sold by the Save Our Gale School Committee. The Grand Prize is the 18X24 Oil Painting done by Donna Manning who was Belmont's first Ms. Belmont in 1967. The beautiful frame was donated by Brock Roberts Framing and Art Gallery of Laconia, N.H. Exquisitely done in bright vivid colors, this masterpiece is definitely a work of art. The scene depicts an early postcard image of the Gale School around 1901 prior to any other buildings being constructed on the property.This is certainly a rarity in itself. Raffle tickets are being sold for $1.00 each, or six for $5.00. The date of the drawing is November 11, 2006 at Monument Square in Belmont, N.H.
Sales kick off at Belmont Old Home Day on August 12, 2006. Each of the above items can be viewed in front of the Mill Center on this date. Newspaper Ad Campaign ~ Signatures & Donations
Sign the " I Support Saving the Gale School" sheet, donate $2.00 towards a full page add in a local area newspaper along with others in support of saving the Gale School. Don't want your name in the paper, check NO, and donate for the cause.
Tilton Diner Spaghetti Dinner VERY SUCCESSFUL THANK YOU!!!
The committee will be having a spaghetti dinner at the Tilton Diner in Tilton to raise funds to save the Gale School on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. It is all you can eat for $6.99 per person, of which $5.00 of each plate purchased goes to benefit the cause.
